Your Future
Opportunities
The programme aims to develop knowledge and skills within health and social care practice to enable students to respond appropriately to changing local, regional, and political drivers. It also supports practitioners to respond to the changing context of practice and to work within complex health care environments.
Future Career
Students from all our courses may expect increased promotion prospects and the ability to take on developmental and specialist roles in a range of health and social care settings. Previous students have gone on to work in areas such as nursing, social work and management of residential homes.
The graduate employment rate for nursing and health related studies is excellent and the skills you learn on the course will also allow you to progress your studies further if you would like to take that route.
Additional Information
A variety of assessment, learning and teaching approaches are used on the course which relate closely to practice, encouraging reflection and shared learning.

Assessment is dependent upon modules chosen and may include essays, case studies, projects, presentations, seminars and personal learning contracts.

Assignments generally require students to analyse their own practice and show evidence of reflection and integration of theory and practice.
Jobs & Careers
We can help you make decisions on your career and recognise and develop your employability skills. We also offer an employment service with part-time student opportunities and graduate jobs. Find out more at www.leedsmet.ac.uk/careers
