Course Overview
The course provides for a flexible pattern of study allowing students to pursue interests to fulfil their design aspirations in, and develop a range of interests alongside the study of architecture at an advanced level. This enables students to become capable, effective, reflective and adaptable practitioners who are properly equipped to respond to the professional, organisational and environmental challenges of the future. The course also facilitates the expansion, development and refinement of the students' architectural knowledge and design abilities.
Benefits of studying this course
The course receives validation from the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and prescription from the Architects Registration Board (ARB). The award of the Postgraduate Diploma prescription exempts the holder from the Part 2 Examination of the RIBA and ARB professional body requirements.

Part-time students may complete the requirements in three years rather than four. Using a learning agreement, the student may negotiate and submit a work-based learning (WBL) assignment completed while the student is enrolled on the part-time course.
