The launch of this unique course by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) further recognises the importance of the purchasing profession in developing sustainable organisations, whether in public, private, national or international settings.
Candidates who undertake the programme are wishing to progress their career and will be working at, or aspiring to, board level status and will have already gained a degree of experience and professional qualifications (or equivalent) within the field.
The Procurement and Supply Chain professional area is developing rapidly as a key strategic role for the success of organisations, with international career opportunities and excellent rewards for suitably experienced and qualified individuals.

Staff linked to the course include Lawrence Bellamy who is the Senior Assessor for Improving Supply Chain performance, examined internationally through CIPS qualifications. A Chartered Engineer, Lawrence's background is in the manufacturing and construction industries where he worked on some of the largest retail developments in Europe.

Candidates are challenged to review their present knowledge base and propose how they build upon this to gain the knowledge they require for their future success.
The Project
Candidates undertake a significant project related to procurement and the supply chain, strategic in nature their recommendations are aimed at influencing decisions at the board level.

Teaching & Learning
The delivery of the programme is through a unique blend of diagnostics, key teaching sessions, master class events, mentoring, action learning groups and structured interventions that will challenge the individual and foster the development of professional skills to take them forward in their career.
Candidates will be expected to show a high degree of commitment and initiative in the completion of the programme, which is assessed at Masters level and culminates in the completion of a major purchasing and supply project applied to an agreed company.

Higher fees apply for ELQ students. You may be an ELQ student if you already have a BA/BSc and want to enrol on another
Bachelors level course; if you already have an MA/MSc and want to enrol on a Bachelors level course OR if you already
have an MA/MSc and want to enrol on another taught Masters level course.
